A new year-round collaboration brings volunteers, school staff, youth leaders, and community partners together to serve families with dignity, choice, and care.
Brothers, supporters, Food Gatherers representatives, Brother CJ Davis, YCMS staff, and members of the YCMS youth group, the Young Kings, came together for a meaningful day of service as the YCMS Healthy School Pantry officially launched its new partnership with Food Gatherers and the Dr. Thomas A. Bass Caring and Sharing Food Basket Delivery Program.

From setup through distribution, volunteers worked side by side to organize food, prepare the pantry, welcome community members, assist shoppers, and help load groceries into vehicles. The atmosphere was energetic and welcoming, with volunteers excited to serve and families met with respect at every step.
Many diverse members of the community assembled and were able to select food based on their household needs rather than receive a one-size-fits-all package. Partnership team members greeted guests, helped them navigate the pantry, answered questions, and carried food to their cars when assistance was needed.
